The Gautrain is a state-of-the-art rapid rail network in Gauteng. The rail connection comprises of two links, namely a link between Pretoria and Johannesburg and a link between OR Tambo International Airport and Sandton. Apart from the three anchor stations on these two links, seven other stations are will linked by approximately 80 kilometres of rail along the route. This modern train will offer international standards of public transport with high levels of safety, reliability, predictability and comfort. Travelling at maximum speeds of 160 to 180 kilometres per hour it will reach Pretoria from Johannesburg in less than 40 minutes. The minimum frequency between Johannesburg and Pretoria will initially be six trains per hour per direction and it will operate approximately 18 hours per day. This public transport service will include dedicated, exclusive bus services to transport passengers to and from stations.

Sun International has an existing timeshare facility called the Sun City Vacation Club situated immediately behind The Palace Hotel. The demand for the timeshare units prompted a development of an additional 148 units scheduled to be ready for the 2005 festive season. The units were constructed in two phases (phase 1 -134 units and phase 2-14 units). The units are self catering and have an attractive existing infrastructure against the backdrop of the Pilanesberg Mountains. Modern finishes and outdoor amenities make the facility extremely popular.

The Air Cargo building is a 12000m2 warehouse facility. Air freight is handled into and from the building, which facilitates speedy loading of planes on the one side and on the other side of the building an extensive loading area gives quick access to Cape Town’s road network.
The civil engineering work was treated as a separate contract and in this manner vast lead time was gained in the letting of rental space and consolidating cash flow before the builder moved onto site.

The decentralization of businesses from the Cape Town CBD offered an opportunity for this office park development. The site is adjacent to the Kenilworth Shopping Centre and borders the Kenilworth Racecourse. The location offers easy access to the highway and main transport routes to Claremont and Wynberg.
The office park was constructed in phases with a final outcome of five separate buildings totaling some 6500m2.
